Working in Unity with the Community

Helping Veterans

We meet veterans where they are — at the VA office, the shelter, the kitchen table. Through partnerships across the East Bay, Chapter 127 connects veterans to benefits, healthcare, housing, and the camaraderie of people who understand what the uniform cost them.

Why We Started

Chapter 127 was born from a simple conviction: veterans in Richmond and the greater Bay Area deserve advocates who live here, know the community, and answer the phone. We organized so that local veterans — especially the addicted, the homeless, the unemployed, the disabled, and the forgotten — are seen, heard, and served.

Projects & Programs

From fundraising drives and community outreach to faith-based collaborations, youth ambassador mentoring, and academic scholarships, our programs raise both money and awareness — turning goodwill into real change for veterans and the next generation.

Why NABVETS Was Created

Chapter #0127 was chartered to bring NABVETS’ mission home to the East Bay — ensuring that veterans in Richmond and the surrounding communities have local advocates who know their names, their service, and their needs.
