Dear Supporter,

On behalf of Commander Randy Geegan and the entire membership of the Armour Lawrence Greater Bay Area NABVETS Richmond California Chapter #0127, we respectfully request your support through a charitable contribution to our mission of serving veterans, their families, and underserved communities throughout the East Bay and surrounding communities.

For over five years, East Bay NABVETS Chapter #0127 has been dedicated to ensuring that Black veterans and veterans of color in the Richmond, California area receive the advocacy, services, and recognition they have earned through their sacrifice and service. Named in honor of United States Marine Officer Vernice Armour — the first African American female Combat Fighter Pilot — and Air Force Officer Robert H. Lawrence Jr. — the first African American Astronaut — our chapter carries forward a legacy of breaking barriers and lifting up those who have served.

Too many veterans in our community face unemployment, inadequate housing, difficulties accessing healthcare, and the long shadow of unaddressed service-connected conditions. Chapter #0127 was founded to confront those challenges directly, and your donation helps us do exactly that.

Your contribution will help support:

  • Veteran outreach and support programs in the East Bay
  • Veterans Service Officer (VSO) claims assistance and benefits advocacy
  • Housing resources and transitional support for homeless veterans
  • Youth mentorship and leadership development initiatives
  • Community engagement and veteran wellness programs
  • Local events honoring the service and sacrifice of East Bay veterans
  • Operational support that keeps our chapter showing up for veterans in need

East Bay NABVETS Chapter #0127 is an affiliate of the National Association for Black Veterans, Inc. (NABVETS), a Congressionally chartered nonprofit Veterans Service Organization. Contributions may qualify as tax-deductible charitable donations in accordance with applicable federal law.
